Walls Down | Where are we going anyway and are we there yet?

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

ROOM exists for a clear and compelling purpose: to bring the gospel to the overlooked and unreached online, to disciple them in sound doctrine, and to establish them in faithful local churches for the glory of God.

From the beginning, the vision was never to remain a lone missionary effort. The desire has always been multiplication. ROOM aims to raise, train, and support many who will labor online with clarity, courage, and conviction. Too much digital ministry stops at broadcast-style evangelism. The need is greater than that. ROOM is working to push further by developing resources, examples, and messages that:

  • Hold ministers to biblical accuracy and consistency
  • Train young men and women to apply what they’ve been taught
  • Display the beauty of faithful, integrated Christian living

This is no small task. It reaches far beyond what one VRChat missionary could accomplish alone. That is precisely why the work at ROOM is structured the way it is.

Direct evangelism, discipleship, and church connection for people in VRChat remains central for me as a missionary there. That work continues steadily. But it is only one portion of the labor the Lord has placed before us.

The first aim remains simple and sweeping: Christ proclaimed on every screen in every room.

To move toward that goal, priorities must remain rightly ordered. Those who wish to labor for the kingdom must live with worldview consistency. Devotion to God’s Word and its application is not optional. Men and women must know the Word, walk by faith, and speak unadulterated truth.

Many believers have never been shown what that looks like in practice.

ROOM exists to help provide that picture, not to duplicate what every other ministry is already doing.

A brief encouragement

Daluna, who came to faith through ROOM, is now faithfully attending church and regularly present at Bible study, fellowship nights, and evangelism efforts. In less than a year, he is already contributing thoughtful clarifications during outreach conversations and has worked through large portions of Scripture. His growth has been steady, visible, and deeply encouraging to witness.

In addition, just over three months of focused YouTube work has already reached viewers in 15 countries. This includes India, which is predominantly Hindu, as well as Syria and Malaysia, which are predominantly Muslim. The Lord continues to extend the reach of the gospel further than we could have carried it on our own.

Regarding Howitzer Hour

Questions have surfaced about whether this series signals distraction. It does not. The series emerged through careful prayer, evaluation, and clear alignment with ROOM’s mission.

At the core, the calling here is teaching, especially where biblical truth confronts real-world inconsistency. Many online believers have never seen clear, direct, Scripture-grounded prophetic application modeled well. Howitzer Hour exists to help fill that gap: identifying inconsistency, applying Scripture plainly, and calling for repentance and prayer with biblical grounding.

Private situations referenced in the series remain intentionally vague to protect individuals. Sensitive matters are discussed with church oversight when appropriate. Explaining that process inside every episode would blunt the message, but supporters should be assured that these guardrails are firmly in place. Every individual has been confronted directly as they ought.

Different audiences require different approaches.

Walls Down models patient, pastoral care.
Howitzer Hour models direct, exhortation and challenge.

Both serve the same mission: forming believers who take Scripture seriously and live consistently before the Lord.

Howitzer Hour specifically helps ROOM by:

  • Modeling prophetic speech that aims at repentance and prayer, not harm
  • Demonstrating consistent real-life Scripture application
  • Exposing counterfeit kindness and hypocrisy
  • Attracting serious, conviction-driven believers
  • Providing clarity about leadership ideology
  • Strengthening those already aligned with the mission

Call Beyond The Screen

“Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.”
(1 Corinthians 15:58)

The objective remains unchanged: to teach, train, and equip others to carry this work forward. Bible study participants, viewers, and supporters are all part of this multiplication effort.

The Lord continues to keep this work steady and fruitful. There is good reason for gratitude in what God has been doing. Rejoice, the Lord has provided a bounty of fruit already, and continues to do so.
